New Products - November 5, 2007

The month of November brings new products to the Beyond If™ Solutions website. We are very happy to be able to provide Smart Card Readers and accessories from Actividentity, SCM and Gemalto Gemplus. Also, we now offer the Ceelox Biometric Security Solutions. Besides software for use with biometric devices, Ceelox also has available two biometric devices of their own, the Ceelox Vault HDD (a biometric hard disk drive) and the Ceelox Vault Stick (a biometric flash drive). Both biometric devices have Ceelox Vault pre-installed.

Association of Threat Assessment Professionals Presentation - May 16, 2007
|
|
A presentation on Pandemic Flu Planning was conducted by the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP). Dr. James L. Hagen spoke on the challenges faced in confronting this serious issue. While many agencies and leading corporations have ramped up their reponse and action plans a sizeable amount of businesses and communities remain woefully inadequate, lacking any type of plan to meet a pandemic or other man-made or natural disaster. Dr. Hagen addressed the need to meet these issues and offered guidance on effective contingency plans and countermeasures to meet these situations head on.
Beyond If Solutions attended the pandemic lecture as a provider of technology that assists businesses and government agencies more effectively manage these issues through our MobiKEY secure remote access solution as well as a keyboard and mouse that can be disinfected to limit cross contamination and infection.

Stealth MXP Receives FIPS 140-2 Certification
|
|
We are pleased to announce the Stealth MXP, biometric portable secure USB drives offered by Beyond If Solutions, have been validated by NIST with a FIPS140-2 certification. In addition, the Stealth MXP is self -contained, eliminating the need for software or drivers to be installed on guest computers. The Stealth MXP is “agnostic” - the drive will function on Microsoft, Linux and Mac operating systems. We believe the Stealth MXP to be the most advanced portable security device available.

Chicago Electronic & Financial Crimes Task Force - April 12, 2007
|
|
The United States Secret Service conducted the quarterly meeting of the Chicago Electronic & Financial Crimes Task Force (CEFCTF). Beyond If Solutions attended the meeting which was hosted by the Chicago Tribune. The keynote speaker was retired General David L. Grange, now President of the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation. General Grange addressed the topic of “Leadership for Irregular Conflict”. Also featured was Forensicon which presented “Trends in the Application of Computer Forensics in Investigations”.
The CEFCTF represents a diverse membership of over 500 public and private security professionals, academia and law enforcement officials throughout Illinois, Wisconsin and Northern Indiana. The United States Secret Service contributes to the CEFCTF by bringing together experts in an interactive environment. These professionals bring experience, knowledge and resources in the investigation of electronic and financial crimes, computer forensics examination, support and testimony. Many members are investigators trained as responders to IT-related incidents, including network intrusions. The CEFCTF is dedicated to keeping up with cutting edge technologies, identifying cyber-based vulnerabilities and developing strategies to combat cyber and financial crimes and the protection of the nation’s critical financial infrastructure.

Illinois Information Technology Association - April 12, 2007

As the Chair of the Security Roundtable for the Illinois Information Technology Association, Terry Doheny of Beyond If Solutions, attended the ITA City Lights Award Gala. During this annual event the ITA recognizes leading midwest technology companies and individuals for their achievements. This years event was held at the Drake Hotel in Chicago.

Midwest Entrepreneurs’ Forum - March 27, 2007

|
Terrence Doheny, President & CEO of Beyond If Solutions, was invited by the Midwest Entrepreneurs’ Forum to participate on a panel of three CEOs to discuss the Challenges and Opportunities of Successful Entrepreneurship. Also on the panel were David Naylor, CEO of Starthis and Penny Edecker, CEO of Xdyne. The presentations focused on their assigned topic which addressed “shared experiences from the trenches and things that worked for me”.
The Midwest Entrepreneurs’ Forum (MEF) promotes and strengthens the process of starting and growing companies by providing services which educate and inform entrepreneurs.

NetSecure ‘07 At Illinois Institute of Technology - March 21, 2007
